Reiki is a Japanese energy healing method that activates the body’s natural ability to restore balance—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Through gentle touch or intention, Reiki channels universal life energy (Ki) to promote deep relaxation, release energy blockages, and support healing.
Usui Reiki is the original system of Reiki developed by Mikao Usui in Japan. It combines energy healing with spiritual principles and meditation. Our academy teaches Reiki in this traditional lineage, honoring its sacred roots while making it accessible for modern practice.
Not at all. Reiki Level I (Shoden) is open to everyone, regardless of background, belief system, or previous energy work. It is often a life-changing foundation for personal healing and spiritual awakening.
An attunement (or Reiju in Japanese) is a sacred energetic initiation performed by a Reiki Master. It opens your energy channels to connect with the Reiki flow. Each level of Reiki comes with a corresponding attunement that deepens your capacity to receive and channel healing energy.
No. Reiki is a gentle and non-invasive energy that only flows for the highest good. It never depletes your own energy. In fact, when you offer Reiki to others, you often feel more grounded and balanced yourself. Reiki is not guided by personal will but by universal intelligence.
No. Reiki is a spiritual practice, not a religion. It supports all belief systems and can deepen your personal connection to the divine, nature, or your inner self—whatever that may mean for you.
Yes. Upon completion of each level, you will receive an official certificate from the Usui Reiki Academy. Our training includes both theoretical and hands-on components, aligned with international Reiki standards and the Usui Reiki Ryoho lineage.
Group training is offered in small, supportive circles where you learn alongside other students. The Private Certification Program is a fully personalized 1:1 experience that allows for flexible scheduling, deep spiritual mentoring, and a more intimate pace of learning.
Yes. After completing Level II (Okuden), you are eligible to practice Reiki as a certified practitioner. Many students begin working with clients, friends, or animals after this level. We also offer support for setting up a Reiki practice.
Animal Reiki is adapted to honor the unique energy systems of animals. It emphasizes non-invasive, respectful approaches and often works without direct touch. It is especially effective for trauma, rescue animals, and emotional imbalances.
Yes. Reiki is increasingly used in hospitals, hospices, and wellness centers worldwide as a complementary therapy. While not a substitute for medical care, Reiki is recognized for its benefits in pain relief, stress reduction, and emotional support.
