USUI Reiki Academy

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking or participating in any course, retreat, private session, or service offered by the USUI Reiki Academy (“we,” “us,” “our”).

By enrolling in any of our offerings, you agree to be bound by the following terms.

1. Eligibility

Our services are open to adults aged 18 and over. Participants must be physically and mentally capable of engaging in personal development work. If you are under the care of a medical or mental health professional, please consult them before registering.

2. Booking & Payment

  • All bookings must be made through our website, via email, or a designated booking platform.
  • Full payment is required to confirm your place unless otherwise stated.
  • Payments are non-transferable unless agreed upon in writing.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Courses & Certifications (In-person):

  • Cancellations made at least 14 days before the course start date are eligible for a 50% refund.
  • Cancellations made within 14 days are non-refundable.

For online lessons Cancellations are non refundable 

Retreats:

  • Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Full payment is due by the deadline stated in your confirmation email.
  • If cancellation occurs 30 days before the retreat: 50% refund (minus deposit).
  • No refunds for cancellations made less than 30 days before the retreat.

In exceptional cases (e.g., medical emergencies), we may offer partial credit toward future services at our discretion.

4. Rescheduling & Force Majeure

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a course or retreat due to unforeseen circumstances, including low enrollment, illness, or force majeure (natural disasters, travel bans, etc.).

In such cases, participants may choose between:

  • Full refund
  • Credit toward a future event

We are not liable for any costs incurred (travel, accommodation, etc.) beyond the course or retreat fee.

5. Code of Conduct

We uphold a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all. Participants are expected to:

  • Respect the privacy and boundaries of others
  • Refrain from disruptive or discriminatory behavior
  • Follow all instructions regarding safety, energy work, and group activities

Violation of this code may result in dismissal without refund.

6. Medical Disclaimer

Reiki is a complementary, spiritual healing practice and not a substitute for medical or psychological care.

We do not diagnose, treat, or guarantee results. Please consult your healthcare provider before beginning any healing journey.

7. Confidentiality & Privacy

All personal and spiritual information shared in sessions or group settings is treated with strict confidentiality.

We do not share your data with third parties, except as required by law or for essential service provision (e.g., payment processors).

8. Intellectual Property

All course materials, manuals, meditations, and content remain the property of USUI Reiki Academy and may not be copied, distributed, or reproduced without prior written permission.

9. Certification Requirements

Participants must attend the full course and demonstrate readiness to receive certification. Certification is granted at the teacher’s discretion and based on respectful participation and understanding of Reiki principles.
